The process of detoxification can be complicated for an adolescent to understand, which is why we make every effort to not only help young men and women grasp this process, but also feel safe and comfortable while participating in it.

The primary focus of our detoxification services is to physically stabilize a user in the most comfortable manner possible while under the supervision of our expert clinical staff. At this time, we at The Camp’s Meadow Lodge work to begin instilling the values of recovery, but understand that they will not truly be grasped until the adolescent is fully detoxed. Therefore, while we continue to lay the groundwork for their recovery, we focus solely on making them as comfortable as possible as they are likely to experience unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. We have had additional success with easing anxiety and stabilizing mood through Acupuncture.
At our program, we can assist in performing detoxification services for even the most dangerous of substances including (but not limited to) alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and cocaine. Once we are able to get an adolescent physically stabilized, we are able to then incorporate the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of his or her recovery into their overall treatment.
