Pamela Krueger, AMFT 135124

COD Therapist

Pamela started working at the Camp in July 2024 as a Co-occurring Disorder Therapist. She graduated from Milwaukee, WI, with her Bachelor’s in Criminology and Law studies from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has a Master of Arts in Psychology, Marriage, and Family Therapy from California University, California. Pamela has ten years of experience working with the severely mentally ill (SMI) population. She has served as a mental health clinician as part of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) at the Santa Cruz County jail and as a Case manager serving an acute client population while completing her practicum at the County and Walnut Avenue in Santa Cruz. She lived in Texas, where she spent one year working as a mental health counselor in the Texas prison system. Realizing her strong sense of community, she left Santa Cruz and moved back to where she worked at Telecare. Pamela currently also works as a therapist and part-time for a private practice.

Pamela strives to establish an environment where clients can feel safe and supported without fear of judgment, addressing their worries and anxieties together. She trusts in the client’s knowledge of their own life. She will contribute her therapeutic expertise to help discover the comfort and equilibrium the client is searching for in a collaborative manner. Recognizing that there is no universal solution, her objective is to assist in identifying effective, personalized strategies. Pamela is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), PTSD, ADHD, Grief/loss, and Complex Trauma. Each session will be characterized by compassion, unwavering acceptance, and a touch of humor.

Pamela is a native of the Midwest. In her free time, Pamela enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Nyla and Dexter, exploring all the beauty that Santa Cruz has to offer.
