Lauren Allar, ASW
COD Program Manager
Lauren has worked as a Co-Occurring Disorder Therapist at The Camp since January 2022. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work in May of 2021 from Concordia University, Wisconsin and has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration from Carthage College of Wisconsin.
Lauren is formally trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and certified in Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (Alpha-Stim). She also provides therapy informed by modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Lauren enjoys working at The Camp because the program offers a wide variety of group therapy, modalities, and different, creative approaches to recovery. Although treatment is specific to the individual, her goal working with clients is to create a safe, supportive space in which they feel comfortable processing the stressors of life (trauma, childhood experiences, substance use challenges, etc.).
In her free time, Lauren enjoys working out, traveling, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and hanging out with her French Bulldog, Lola.
