Jennie Kosko, LCSW 122675, CADCII

COD Therapist

Jennie has worked as a Co-Occurring Disorders Therapist at The Camp since March of 2022. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Foundations of Education from Stanford University. Jennie studied for her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Washington with Marsha Linehan, known for developing DBT, and G. Alan Marlatt, a ground-breaking researcher in addiction. While working on her minor in Program Evaluation at UCSF, Jennie got training at The Biofeedback Institute of San Francisco. After a two-year internship in Clinical Psychology at the Veteran’s Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio, she worked at The Cleveland Clinics as a biofeedback and stress management therapist.

A lifelong Packers fan, Jennie moved to northern Wisconsin to become a substance abuse therapist for older adults with Lutheran Social Services but ultimately decided to come back to California to be closer to her family. Upon her return, Jennie got her MSW from San Jose State University and worked with Telecare and Abode Services.

Ever the student, Jennie went on to receive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and became certified in Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (Alpha-Stim). She is happy to be at The Camp where she uses the breadth and depth of her knowledge and experience in meeting clients where they are in the context of a positive relationship. Goals and approaches to meeting those goals are developed with clients together.

Jennie also enjoys hiking and other ways of being immersed in nature, traveling-including children in three other time zones, recovery programs, music, art, and good friends.
