Brooke Davis
Therapist Intern
Brooke has worked at The Camp as a therapist intern since September 2023. She previously worked in the adolescent unit for her undergrad internship as a behavioral tech and lifeguard. Brooke decided to go back to school in her mid-fifties for a career change and graduated from Palo Alto University in 2022 summa cum laude. She went on to pursue her Master’s in Counseling and is currently in the last year of her Master’s Program at Palo Alto University working on her MFT.
Brooke has two grown boys and is a Santa Cruz native. Her eldest son was born with a chromosome anomaly and heart defect, and her younger son is non-verbal and autistic. Brooke became interested in becoming a therapist because of her background in recovery and having two kids with special needs. Her strengths are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Due to being in recovery, Brooke has a large knowledge of programs and resources in the recovery community.
In her spare time, she loves the beach, surfing, hot yoga, and spending time with her family and dog, Maddie, the golden retriever. Brooke spends a lot of time on the island of Kauai and intends to move there permanently someday, with a dual LMFT licensure in both California and Hawaii.
